New in-game Navigator: Tracer Pack inspired by Cassidy’s journey from Navy SEAL to NASA Astronaut – launches today in Call of Duty®: Black Ops 7 and Warzone™
Retired NASA astronaut and U.S. Navy SEAL CAPT Chris Cassidy today announced his official partnership with the Call of Duty Endowment (CODE), coinciding with the launch of the Navigator: Tracer Pack in Call of Duty®: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty®: Warzone™. The pack, created in collaboration with Cassidy and inspired directly by his life and career, is available now. Activision’s net proceeds from the pack will be donated to the Endowment to fund veteran employment programs nationwide. This announcement comes at the start of Military Appreciation Month and ahead of National Astronaut Day on May 5.
About the Navigator: Tracer Pack
The Navigator: Tracer Pack draws on Cassidy’s extraordinary career: from combat deployments to Afghanistan following September 11, where he earned two Bronze Stars, to three NASA missions totaling 378 days in space and nearly 55 hours of spacewalks. The pack marks the first time Cassidy’s story has been brought to life inside the Call of Duty universe, introducing his journey to millions of players worldwide.
“Gaming reaches audiences that traditional media doesn’t,” said Cassidy. “If the Navigator pack introduces even a fraction of Call of Duty’s player base to the work the Endowment is doing for veterans, that’s a mission worth being part of.”
The Call of Duty Endowment’s Impact
The Call of Duty Endowment is the largest private funder of veteran employment in the United States. To date, the Endowment has placed more than 169,000 veterans into quality civilian jobs, with an average starting salary of $76,000. Its cumulative economic impact, measured through first-year salaries alone, exceeds $10 billion. The Endowment operates at a fraction of the cost of traditional government employment programs, making it one of the most efficient and effective veteran support organizations in the country.
