Chris Cassidy, former NASA astronaut and Navy SEAL, has stepped down from his role as CEO of the National Medal of Honor Museum after leading the organization through a critical phase of its development.
During his tenure, Cassidy helped guide the museum’s growth, working closely with veterans, donors, and civic leaders while contributing to a fundraising effort exceeding $300 million to support the project. He also played a role in securing a permanent Medal of Honor monument in Washington, D.C., helping elevate the recognition of recipients at the national level.
Cassidy took on the role following a distinguished career in public service, including leadership positions at NASA and in the U.S. Navy. His work with the museum reflected a continued commitment to honoring the values of courage, sacrifice, and service represented by Medal of Honor recipients.
With the organization positioned for its next phase, Cassidy is fully focused on growing his speaking, partnerships and advisory work, with an emphasis on leadership, space exploration, and innovation.
